In connection with Bangladesh’s Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a letter to Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser leading the interim government. Extending his National Day greetings, Modi emphasized the importance of working together while giving priority to mutual interests and concerns in his letter.
“The National Day is a testament to the shared history and sacrifices that form the foundation of our bilateral partnership. Bangladesh’s Liberation War continues to guide our relationship, fostering growth across various sectors and benefiting our people. We are committed to advancing our cooperation based on common goals of peace, stability, and prosperity,” Modi said.
Both leaders will participate in the BIMSTEC summit scheduled to take place in Bangkok on April 3-4. President Droupadi Murmu and Bangladesh President Mohammed Shahabuddin also sent letters expressing their support for Bangladesh.
