Miss Universe India Riya Sinha Shines as Goddess Sita in Ayodhya’s Ram Leela

Miss Universe India Rhea Sinha who entered the arena as Sita Devi, she said that she entered the arena as Sita Devi based on the stories she heard about Sita Devi from her grandmother. Riya appeared as Goddess Sita in the Ram Leela held in Ayodhya. The Rama Leela is based on the rendition of Ramayana and Rama’s exile for fourteen years with his brother Lakshmana and his wife Sita Devi. Riya is happy to bring Sita Devi to the arena, which she heard from her grandmother. He said that his experience in Ayodhya was magical and ‘I grew up listening to Ramayana stories from my grandmother as a child. After coming to Ayodhya I felt positive energy inside me. I have heard about Ayodhya since childhood. I came here to play the role of Sita in Ram Leela. For that there should be feelings of peace and devotion within. Rhea Sinha said that I am lucky to have been given the opportunity to play this role.

Rhea Singha is a native of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. From a young age, he was very interested in performing in front of the camera. Riya, who was shy during her school days, later gained confidence by participating in many art programs at school. She entered the modeling field at the age of 16. At that age, the diva won the title of Miss Teen Gujarat. In 2023, she participated in the Miss Teen Universe held in Madrid, Spain. and reached the top six. She also won the Miss Teen Earth title in the same year. Rhea achieved this achievement in 2024 through long hard work.

Meanwhile, the government has organized a wide range of programs in connection with the Navaratri festival in Ayodhya. The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had banned the sale of meat and restricted liquor in Ayodhya on the occasion of the nine-day Navratri festival. Reports suggest that the ban will be in place these days to coincide with Sharadiya Navratri, a period of religious importance for Hindus.

The Yogi government issued an order banning the sale of meat across Ayodhya district with strict enforcement under the Food Safety and Standards Act-2006. Violators of the ban will face severe consequences, the notice said. Apart from the complete ban on meat, the sale of liquor has also been restricted, especially near religious places, the IANS report said. The sale of liquor will be allowed only during limited hours and the government has announced that strict action will be taken against the sale of illegal or spurious liquor across the state.

Officials said safety and comfort of devotees will be given priority and cleanliness will be maintained in all temple premises. The government said the decision was part of a wider effort to ensure a peaceful atmosphere during the festive season, with heightened security and greater focus on protecting religious sentiments. The ban is expected to affect local businesses, but has drawn support from religious communities and devotees, who see it as an important step to maintain the sanctity of the festival.
