Following the Pahalgam terror attack, the United Nations has called for both India and Pakistan to exercise restraint to prevent further escalation of the conflict.
UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric condemned the terror attack and urged that the issue between India and Pakistan should be resolved peacefully through mutual understanding.
“In order to prevent the situation from worsening, both countries must exercise maximum restraint. The governments of India and Pakistan must ensure that the current situation and events do not escalate further,” Stephane Dujarric said.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir police have confirmed that the two terrorists behind the Pahalgam terror attack were from Pakistan. Police found that Hashim Mus and Ali Bhai had infiltrated India two years ago. Additionally, the police have identified Adil Hussain, a local from Kashmir, who was also involved in the terror attack. Central agencies reported that Hashim Mus had been involved in previous terror attacks as well.
India has explained Pakistan’s involvement in the Pahalgam terror attack to several countries. India clarified this matter by calling in various diplomatic representatives. Ambassadors from countries such as the US, UK, and Russia were invited to the Ministry of External Affairs for detailed discussions.
