PM Narendra Modi Ramps Up Campaign Energy in Jharkhand

In a bid to energize election campaigns in Jharkhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted BJP’s momentum in the region, citing the recent BJP membership of Mandal Murmu, who had previously endorsed Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s nomination for the Barhait constituency. Modi’s statements come as BJP leaders, including Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, gather to support the party’s local candidates.

As national leaders arrive to boost campaigns, opposition leaders, such as Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge from the Congress, are also expected to rally support for the INDIA coalition in the upcoming two-phase elections on November 13 and 20. The INDIA alliance includes the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and CPI(ML), with seat allocations settled among coalition members to counter the BJP’s stronghold in the region.
