The Akhila Bharatiya Sant Samiti sharply criticized RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and the RSS, stating that they should not comment on temple matters. They emphasized that the remnants of temples destroyed in 56 places across India have been found, and the historical wrongs should be corrected, with temples being restored and rebuilt everywhere.
Swami Jitendranand Saraswati, General Secretary of the Akhila Bharatiya Sant Samiti, rejected Bhagwat’s recent comments on temple-mosque disputes, asserting that such matters should be decided by religious leaders.
Swami Jitendranand Saraswati further clarified that the RSS is a cultural organization focused on nationalism, but when it comes to temple and religious matters, decisions should be made by religious leaders and gurus, not the RSS. He emphasized that the final say on matters related to temples and religion rests with religious leaders and not the RSS or VHP.
He added that despite similar opinions from Bhagwat in the past, they had not responded, but now a response was necessary.
