Two more individuals have been arrested in connection with the recent attack in Sambhal. Reports indicate that a total of 50 assailants have been detained so far. The arrested individuals, identified as Rehar Adnan and others, are linked to the violence that followed a court-ordered survey at a mosque in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh.
One of the arrested individuals was taken into custody from Batla House in Delhi, while the other was arrested from Delhi itself, according to Sambhal Police Superintendent Krishna Kumar. The charges against them include violations under Section 7 of the Criminal Law Amendment (CLA) Act and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.
Meanwhile, the police have confirmed that 50 people have been arrested in connection with the Sambhal attack. On November 24, violence erupted in the Kot Garvi area following a court-ordered survey at the Shahi Jama Masjid, which resulted in the deaths of four people and injuries to several others, including security personnel. The site is believed to have previously been home to the Harihar Temple.
