Shiv Sena Publicly Insults Rahul Gandhi After Maharashtra Defeat

Following their defeat in Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena has blamed Congress’ excessive overconfidence for their loss. According to Shiv Sena leader Ambadas Danve, if Uddhav Thackeray had been declared the Chief Ministerial candidate, the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance could have performed better.

Danve criticized Congress for its overconfidence after a few victories in the Lok Sabha elections, with the party failing to capitalize on favorable conditions in several states like Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Maharashtra. Despite anti-incumbency waves, Congress couldn’t secure victories, while BJP continued its success, he added.

He also mentioned that Congress had claimed victory in several seats, but in reality, their performance was underwhelming, with the party failing to even win a seat in Sambhaji Nagar. Danve suggested that if Congress leaders hadn’t been preoccupied with discussions about ministerial positions before the election results, their focus might have been better directed toward winning.
