Congress leader Rashid Alvi has come forward, advising Muslims on new strategies to counter the Waqf Amendment Bill. He suggested that they should launch intense protests, similar to the farmers’ agitation, and block roads as part of their resistance.
His remarks come at a time when threats against the Waqf Amendment Bill are being raised from multiple quarters, with Muslims strongly opposing it. A particular group is making every effort to revoke the Waqf Bill. However, the central government remains firm on its decision and is determined to move forward without retreating.
Muslims are actively trying to counter the bill, but their protests may not hold any significance before the central government. This was evident from the recent warning issued by Joint Parliamentary Committee Chairman Jagdambika Pal to Waqf Board leaders.
