New Delhi: The mother of Khalistan supporter and Waris Punjab De leader Amritpal Singh, who was caught by the police, has been arrested. The police arrested them ahead of Monday’s protest in Amritsar demanding the transfer of Amritpal Singh from Assam’s Dibrugarh Central Jail to Punjab.
Amritpal Singh is in Dibrugarh Central Jail since April 2023. The Amritsar police had registered a case against Amritpal Singh’s mother Balwinder Kaur, uncle Sukhchain Singh and three others on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner of Police Alam Vijay Singh said that they were released in judicial custody. Police arrested Amritpal Singh and nine of his followers in March 2023 under the National Security Act.
