Chennai: People who have nothing to do with fasting or Islamic rituals, including “drunkards and rowdies”, attended the event. The Muslim community was insulted. He questioned Vijay’s sincerity in participating in religious events, and alleged that his actions were politically motivated rather than driven by genuine respect for Islamic traditions, the Tamil Nadu Sunnath Jamaat treasurer said.
