President nominates Sudha Murthy to Rajya Sabha

New Delhi: Writer and social activist Sudha Murthy has been nominated by the President to the Rajya Sabha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this. The Prime Minister said he was happy to nominate Sudha Murthy to the Rajya Sabha.

The Prime Minister said that their presence in the Rajya Sabha is a strong proof of women’s power. Sudha Murthy is the wife of Infosys Co-Founder NR Narayana Murthy and former Chairperson of Infosys Foundation.

He was awarded Padma Shri in 2006 and Padma Bhushan in 2023. Sudha Murthy writes in Kannada and English languages. Many orphanages have been established and necessary activities for the development of rural areas have been carried out.
