In Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi, a young man committed suicide due to work-related stress. Tarun Saxena (42), who was an area manager at Bajaj Finance, took his own life. In his suicide note, he mentioned facing excessive pressure from superiors to meet targets and noted that he hadn’t slept for 45 days. He also reported being subjected to abusive language by his superiors and threatened with termination.
Tarun, a resident of Jhansi, an employee was responsible for loan recovery. Many farmers who had taken loans were unable to repay them due to significant crop losses caused by flooding, which made it difficult for Tarun to meet his targets.
Family members confirmed that Tarun was experiencing work-related stress. He did not eat on Saturday, and his wife found him hanging in their room on Sunday. The Uttar Pradesh police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the incident.
