In the Corona era, the Indian Railways has made a big change in the rules of ticket reservation, which will come into effect from Saturday i.e. October 10. As per the new changes from October 10, now the second chart of ticket reservation in trains will be released half an hour (30 minutes) before the train opens from the station. Indian Railways has decided to restore the previous system of preparing the second reservation table from 10 October, half an hour before the scheduled departure of trains from the stations. For the past few months, in view of the corona virus epidemic, this period was reduced to two hours before the scheduled departure time.

The Railway stated that under the guidelines before Covid-19, the first reservation table was prepared at least four hours before the scheduled departure time of the trains, so that the available berths are ‘first come-first’ till the second reservation table is prepared. Can be booked on PRO counters and through internet. Railways said that the second reservation table was prepared from 30 minutes to five minutes before the scheduled / changed departure time of trains. Pre-booked tickets could also be canceled during this period as per the provisions of refund. He said that in the wake of Corona virus epidemic, the second reservation table was directed to be extended from half an hour to two hours before the scheduled / changed departure time of trains.
