Union Budget on 23rd; Prime Minister held a meeting with economists

New Delhi: The budget session of Parliament will begin on 22nd of this month. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the first budget of the third Modi government on 23rd. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with prominent economists to discuss the Union Budget. The meeting was attended by economists, industry experts, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Berry and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Current economic situation and new plans and strategies were discussed in the meeting. Also the views and recommendations of the economists were presented before the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister returned to the national capital New Delhi this morning after a bilateral visit to Russia and Austria.

The last interim budget of the second Modi government was presented by minister Nirmala Sitharaman last February. This time will be a continuation of this. It is looking forward to what new proposals will be brought in the budget by yielding to the pressure of the constituent parties.
